The Blue Ribbon Melons

So here are the long awaited pic's of Brett's State Fair Prize Winners!

Brett's a state Champion, Blue prize winner!!!!!

Brett is a blue ribbon winner at the Minnesota State Fair!!! His watermellon's are the best in Minnesota, or at least the best entered at the state fair!!!

He is also a second, a third and a fourth prize winner for his green zuchinni, his spaghetti squash, his paste tomatoe's and his yellow zuchinni!!!

First day of the fair and he's already a winner!!! Course, I've ALWAY'S known he's a winner!!!

More details and pics to follow. He is also entering some more thing's this Sunday, so there may be more to come!!!

If you go to the fair, be sure to stop at the AG building to check out his prize winning veggies! But only if you go between now and Sunday, because we're going Sunday and I think he'll be bringing those ribbons home!!! :)

Another Refuge adventure

So I as previously mentioned Brett just got a new camera! We had to go for another refuge adventure to try it out! There are some cool shot's of the bald eagle's that nest in the refuge and also one of an endangered trumpeter swan who upon later inspection of the pic's had a bunch of babies with her in her nest!

CM Info picnic

Last Saturday was CM Information Specialists Company picnic. This year my Boss rented out the Johnathan Padelford riverboat. We had a 3 hour tour ( which when they said was three hours, I have to admit, I immediately thought of Gilligan's Island ) and Brett took some cool pictures with his new camera.

A scary google realization

So Brett and I were discussing the blog a few week's back, and he bet me that not knowing the title of the blog, he could still find it online by googling it. What he found when he searched amazed and scared me both at the same time. He pulled up our blog on Google with only two words!!! He tried different and varied approaches, but he pulled up the blog in only two words each time! A little reminder to not put too much personal info on your blog site! How many words does it take to Google your blog???

Brett's garden part 2

Here are some pictures of a day's harvest over the weekend. Still looking good! Brett has entered some of his vegetables at the State Fair this year! If you go this Thursday on, be sure to check it out!

You might notice that there is not very much red in these pic's, the tomatoes are just starting to ripen and there will be Lot's of them!

The new Kia - A post for Grandpa Ron

So as most of you already know, we recently got a new car. A 2008 Kia Optima. We chose this car because of the price, the warranty and the 30 mpg it get's. We brought it home on July 3rd, and certain people have been waiting for the pictures. So here we go, all the gut's and glory of our new Kia!

I told you I'd get around to posting these Ron! :)

The new teenager

Happy Birthday to Andrew! Today he is officially a teenager, he is 13 years old!

He really is as sweet and lovable today as he was the day he was born!!

Happy birthday Andrew, mom and dad are very proud of the young man you are becoming!!

Brett's garden

Here are some pictures of Brett's garden. He has worked very hard on it this year and it is responding great! Here is what it looked like in the beginning.

Everyone had to help to get it going.

The kid's had to have their own row's of vegetable's, even though they don't eat most of them!

And all of the hard work is paying off! Brett's garden is the envy of the neighborhood!!!

Brett and his 14 year old wife

Oops! I mean Brett and his wife of 14 years!

Happy Anniversary to us, and many more to come!

Thank you for loving me like you do, I will never stop loving you!!!
